'Tinker, Tailor' opens Ghent Film Fest
"Mess Tailor Soldier Spy," directed by Sweden's Tomas Alfredson, will open the 38th Ghent Film Festival, which runs March. 11-22.The pic, based on John le Carre's best-selling spy novel, signifies Alfredson's first British-language film and stars Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, John Hurt, Tom Sturdy, Mark Strong, Ciarn Hinds and Toby Manley. The story follows a outdated spy expert who's rehired to locate a Russian spy which has breached British security. The film, which opened up at Venice, is positioned for release this fall.Other films to screen at Ghent, which will focus on Scandinavian cinema, are "Beyond" by Pernilla August, "Frit Fald" by Heidi Maria Faisst and "The Mountain" by Ole Giaever.
